Parkinson’s Winter WonderWalk, Canterbury

Join us on Saturday 11th December 2021 at 1pm for our 1st Winter WonderWalk.

The Parkinson’s Winter WonderWalk, Canterbury, is a 10km sponsored walk around the beautifully historic and iconic city of Canterbury, to help raise £600,000 to establish the World’s first Parkinson’s Centre for Integrated Therapy at The University of Kent in 2022.

An estimated 2,000 people will visit the Centre during its inaugural year, with its integrated approach filling a much-needed gap in the support options currently available. Covering clinical, research and education delivery, the Centre will also serve as a community hub for people with Parkinson’s and their families.

Suitable for everyone, the 10km circular route will start at The University of Kent, known as the UK’S European university! Kent is a leading academic institution: 97% of their research was judged to be of international quality in the Research Excellence Framework.  It  is based in Canterbury, one of the most exciting and historic cities in Europe.

The walk will take you through scenic routes and past renowned landmarks such as Westgate Towers and Gardens, Dane John Gardens and Mound and Canterbury Cathedral.
