Curcumin is regarded as a powerful antioxidant. Previous studies reported the neuroprotective properties of curcumin in in vitro and in vivo PD models induced by several different environmental factors such as neurotoxins and genetic factors including α-synuclein, PINK1, DJ-1, and LRRK2.This spice contains curcumin, an antioxidant ingredient. It may help to prevent the clumping of a protein involved in Parkinson’s disease, at least one laboratory study has found.
