Stroll, power walk or be pushed! No matter how you do it, come and walk for Parkinson’s!

Richmond Park Walk Sunday 19th July 2020 Registration 10.00am, 10.30am Start

Whether you stroll, power walk or are pushed, everyone can take part in the Parkinson’s Care Support UK Richmond Park Walk. Invite your friends and family and come and walk through one of London’s most iconic Royal Parks to support people living with Parkinson’s. There are two walk routes- a 5km and a 10km.

Richmond Park is the largest Royal park in London, covering 2500 acres! It is famous for its wide, open spaces, grasslands and deer herds. However, the park is also a top UK site for ancient trees and supports a range of rare species including fungi, birds, beetles, bats, grasses and wildflowers. You will not be short of wonderful things to see including distant views of St Paul’s Cathedral from King Henry’s Mound!

To top it off: the event will finish with a free Mindfulness Yoga session at the Park for all those wanting to participate!

Battersea Park Walk Sunday 4th October 2020 10.00am Registration 10.30 Start

The routes take in some of London’s finest views and iconic landmarks along the River Thames.

All the routes start and finish in Battersea Park, where we’ll have a celebration area for walkers and their friends and family. The event will finish with a free Mindfulness Yoga session at the Park for all those wanting to participate.

This event has it all. It is a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends and there are lots of great health benefits with walking too. It helps to improve balance, reduce stress, promote better sleep and manage muscular pain and stiffness. You’ll also be helping to fund our vital services for people with Parkinson’s!

No matter your ability, we’ve got something for you. There will be three routes for you to choose from: 2, 10 and 20km.

Hampstead Heath Walk Sunday 20th September 2020 10.00am Registration 10.30am Start

Help beat Parkinson’s forever at London’s Hampstead Heath this September. You can stroll, jog or push on the 2 circular routes through the Heath’s beautiful landscape. There’s a 5km and a 10km option to ensure the route is suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness.

Hampstead Heath is one of London’s most popular open spaces, situated just six kilometres from Trafalgar Square. It is an island of beautiful countryside, rich in wildlife and extensive sports and recreational opportunities. There are at least 55 historical features, monuments and archaeological sites on Hampstead Heath, which form a vital part of its character. They’ll be plenty of opportunity to capture some wonderful pictures whilst on our walk!

It’s a great event for all the family – why not bring your family, friends and dogs along for a fun day out. Fresh fruit and drinks will be provided and you are welcome to bring along a picnic to make it the perfect day out.
